Webinar under All Digital Week

The Department of Systems Engineering of NURE, as part of the Erasmus + dComFra project, has joined the European initiative All Digital Week. On 27 March, 2020 the Microsoft PowerPoint Presentation Features Webinar for Teachers was held on the MS PowerPoint teaching methodology and its peculiarities for designing presentations for school lessons in various subjects.

 During the webinar examples of presentations for the lessons of computer science, geography, mother tongue and foreign language were presented; varieties and features of using animations in the PowerPoint application; the capabilities of the application to create your own graphic objects. The skills of working with this and other similar applications can be useful for conducting online lessons or for testing pupils’ knowledge.

Safer Internet Day at NTU “KhPI”

On February 5-25, 2020, within the framework of the international event SAFER INTERNET DAY (SID2020), the Department of Information Systems of NTU “KhPI” with leading higher educational institutions and networking academies of Cisco, with the support of the Institute for Modernization of Educational Content, conducted an online lesson “Internet: How to Play, Learn and Work Safely” .
The digital development and integration of Ukraine into the European Digital Space (EU Single Digital Market) means improving the digital skills of young people and society as a whole in order to increase the employment rate of the population and the effective use of digital opportunities. Certification of knowledge and training in the field of “Informatics and information technology” as a means of increasing competencies.
It was conducted by Assistant Professor Nataliia Dzheniuk and Associate Professor Maksym Tolkachov. Educational institutions of Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy and Chernihiv regions were connected to the online lesson. Students, students, teachers and others wished to attend the event were among the attendees. Two classes were organized for registration: the first – for students of Kharkiv and Sumy regions, the second – for students of Poltava and Chernihiv regions. There were over 3500 registered.
The speakers were Baranovsky O., Ph.D., CISSP, CISM, CEH, CHFI, Associate Professor of the Information Security Department of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” and Baranenko RV, Professor of the Professional and Specialty Department disciplines of the Kherson faculty of Odessa State University of Internal Affairs.
The students were interested in the process of increasing their competence in the field of information technology. They look forward to new training courses and the ability to validate digital competencies by certification.
Information on the dComFra project and on the Digital Transformation Coalition was welcomed.
This year our Department of Information Systems is not the first time participating in the international event SAFER INTERNET DAY.

Info Day (Cyber Week 2019)

On November 8, 2019 at 14:00 at the Kharkiv National Economic University, National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” and Chernivtsi National University an online lecture “Modern threats in cyberspace” was held.

As part of the event, dComFra NTU KhPI project representatives Nataliia Dzheniuk and Maksym Tolkachov presented to the wide audience the Erasmus + KA2 CBHE project “dComFra – Digital Competence Framework for Ukrainian Teachers and Other Citizens” (Nr.598236-EPP-1-2018-1-LT- EPPKA2-CBHE-SP).

Online broadcasting took place at the Department of Information Systems and Computer Engineering and Programming.

CodeWeek 2019 at NTU KhPI

As part of the CodeWeek international event, the Department of Information Systems of NTU “KhPI” held a number of webinars:

October 9, 2019, the seminar “Uniform use of the processor”. October 9, 2019 – “Uniform use of the processor”. The webinar allowed us to mention the general concepts of operating systems; to understand algorithms of planning of processes, to get acquainted with an example of construction of diagrams on Scratch.

October 11, 2019 – “Static websites builder Websites portability”.  A webinar, combining the efforts of practice and science, the topic “How not having the knowledge of the developer to create your website?” Was available. The material that was given in this webinar can be applied as enhancing the competencies of teachers, senior pupils, students, teachers and other layers of the population of the benefit.

October 18, 2019 the seminar – “Improvement of digital competences citizen”  The webinar examined the framework for increasing digital competencies for teachers and other citizens of Ukraine.

October 23, 2019 – “The Digital Competency Framework for Teachers and Other Citizens of Ukraine / dComFra.” Digital Development and Integration of Ukraine into the European Digital Space (Single Digital RinokES) implies improving the digital skills of youth and society as a whole to increase employment and use of digital opportunities Certification of knowledge and training in the field of “Informatics and Information Technologies” as a means of enhancing competencies.

Information Day

09/20/19 An information day was held in the framework of which Professor Andrii Biloshchytskyi, Head of the Chair of Information Systems and Technologies Department. the students were told about the progress of Erasmus + Program implementation in KA2: Capacity Building in the Field of Higher Education, the dComFra – Digital Competence Framework for Ukrainian teachers and other citizens, and about the project objectives, namely:

Develop a Ukrainian framework for digital competences for educators and citizens based on the European Framework for Digital Competences for Educators and Citizens;

Establish a Ukrainian national digital network. With the participation of Ukrainian partners, create the basis of the network. With the involvement of European partners, gain experience of national networks of European countries; Build the dComFra infrastructure and tools: create digital competence centers with a suite of necessary software and equipment for the practical implementation of a project-oriented approach; create and manage a distance learning structure; to prepare several special groups of citizens (IDPs and IDP veterans); to establish centers of the Ukrainian National Digital Network; to create a distance education platform to enhance the qualifications of school teachers and teachers of vocational education institutions and all concerned population groups.

Studying Romanian experience in distance learning and digital technologies

From September 9 to September 12, 2019, trainings of representatives of partner universities of the project “Digital Competence Framework for Ukrainian Teachers and Other Citizens” (598236-EPP-1-2018-1-LT-EPPKA2-CBHE-SP) were held at the University Politehnica of Bucharest. The training was attended by the staff of DonNTU Professor Olga Dmitrieva, Assistant Professor Natalia Kostyukova, Head of the Information and Computing Center Natalia Chenikalova.

The training was devoted to acquaintance with the digital competences used in Romania and the organization of distance learning courses on the Moodle platform, the features of the use of this platform in university education. The reports of Romanian colleagues on data security in cloud storage, the creation of digital textbooks and online manuals, and the evolution of educational standards were interesting and useful. In addition, the training participants had the opportunity to visit university laboratories and units: the Center for Advanced Research on New Materials, Products and Innovative Processes (CAMPUS), the 3D Printing and Virtual Reality Laboratory.

NURE participates in International Training dComFra in Romania

From 9 to 12 September, representatives of the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics take part in the next training from Erasmus+ “Framework of digital competencies for Ukrainian teachers and other citizens”, which takes place at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest in Romania.

NURE delegation consisting of Vice-Rector on International Cooperation Murad Omarov and lecturers of the Department of Systems Engineering, with the Head of Department Igor Grebennyk learned from the experience of the Romanian colleagues in the teaching of digital technology, with features of European and Romanian national programs on the mastery of digital competences, and also visited educational and research laboratories of Romanian universities.

Also, during the training representatives of the University of Radio Electronics discussed with colleagues the issues of training bachelors and masters in the field of information technology for the needs of the modern European labour market.

Workshop on dComFra project held for Pokrovsk teachers

On September 10, 2019, the Donetsk National Technical University hosted a workshop “dComFra Project: possibilities for teachers”, which was held within the framework of the project @Digital Competence Framework for Ukrainian Teachers and Other Citizens (dComFra)”.

The event was attended by 18 people: representatives of the city department of education, teachers of Pokrovsky Pedagogical College and DonNTU.

During the event, Yevgen Bashkov told about the purpose of the project and the plan of its implementation. He also outlined the structure of the digital competency framework used in Europe and the plans to develop such a framework for Ukrainian teachers and citizens.

In addition, a survey was conducted at the seminar to determine what IT teacher has knowledge of, how he / she receives them, what subjects he / she teaches, and what level of knowledge he / she should impart to students. According to the results of the survey, it is planned to hold thematic training courses for teachers, aimed at using the acquired knowledge in the practical activity of the teacher.
