Safe Internet Day at the University of Culture

Safer Internet Day was celebrated online at the University of Culture. The event took place within the framework of the Erasmus + project “dComFra – Digital competence framework for Ukrainian teachers and other citizens”, № 598236-EPP-1-2018-1-LT-EPPKA2-CBHE-SP.

The event was organized by a team of IT specialists from the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Information Policy and Cybersecurity, bringing together students and teachers of the university for interesting communication.

Today the meeting of the authors of “Digital Agenda of Ukraine – 2020” was held. Digital Agenda of Ukraine – 2020 is a document developed by a group of experts from global and domestic markets, initiated by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine and Hi Tech Office Ukraine.

The Digital Agenda has played a significant role – in three years, the words “Digitization” and “Digital Transformation” began to sound in every sector of the economy and appeared on the front pages of publications. The Digital Agenda became the basis for the creation of important state documents: the “Concept for the Development of the Digital Economy and Society of Ukraine” and the “Roadmap for Ukraine’s Integration into the EU Digital Single Market”.

Internal trainings for KrNU lecturers within the framework of the dComFra project

From June 24 till June 26 trainings were held at our University for the staff of the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering and the Institute of Electromechanics, Energy Saving and Control Systems within the implementation of the European Union Erasmus+ KA2 №598236-EPP-1-2018-1-LT-EPPKA2-CBHE-SP project – the Digital competence framework for Ukrainian teachers and other citizens (dConFra). The purpose of this event was to train the contingent of lecturers for teaching in the KrNU Office of Digital Competences.

As previously reported, in May this year, an Office of Digital Competences was created at our University. According to the roadmap of the dComFra project, Ukrainian teachers and other categories of citizens of Ukraine will improve the skills in the field of digital competences in this Office. Such an office will be the only one in Poltava region that will be accredited for certification according to the European Computer Driven License (ECDL), and will be able to accept people who wish to obtain a certificate from Poltava and neighboring (Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Cherkasy, Zaporizhzhia, etc.) regions, as, according to the project, similar offices will be established in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Pokrovsk, Chernivtsi and Kremenchuk..

This event was covered in the local press (KREMENCHUKTODAY) and at the site of the Ministry of Education of Ukraine “Novyny oblastei”.

dComFra Trainings at KNUCA

The objectives of the KA2 №598236-EPP-1-2018-1-LT-EPPKA2-CBHE-SP project “Digital competence framework for Ukrainian teachers and other citizens” (dComFra) of the European Union Erasmus + provided dissemination of best practices in reforming the professional training of teachers, as well as the use of digital knowledge and skills in the work of teachers, everyday life and professional activities of citizens of Ukraine. In the project, participants have the opportunity to participate in trainings during which leading experts from European partner universities share their experience in the use of modern information technology in the organization of the educational process.

Due to quarantine measures, regular training was held on May 25-27, 2020 by video conference. The purpose of the online training was to prepare trainers for teaching in the Digital Competences Offices, a network of which was created within the dComFra project on the basis of Ukrainian partner universities. The faculties of Ukrainian universities were presented with developments in the acquisition of digital skills by students of European universities and the use of modern information technology in the educational process. Professors from Vytautas Magnus University (Kaunas, Lithuania), Czech University of Life Sciences (Prague, Czech Republic), Carinthian University of Applied Science (Villach, Austria), Polytechnic University of Bucharest (Bucharest, Romania), Pedagogical University of Cracow (Krakow, Poland), Public Institution Information Technologies Institute (Kaunas, Lithuania).

Meeting of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia with leading scientists of KrNU and presentation of DC-office

On June 3, 2020, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia to Ukraine Mr. Juris Poikans visited Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University as part of a visit to our city. The Ambassador was accompanied by the Third Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Latvia in Ukraine Mr. Edvins Severs and the Deputy Director of the Kremenchuk Institute for International Development Andriy Melnyk.

The Latvian diplomat met a group of scientists of technical, ecological, historical and economic directions of the University headed by the first vice-rector prof. Volodymyr Nykyforov.

The meeting began with a mini-excursion to the laboratory for processing powerful energy flows, where Prof. Oleksandr Salenko acquainted the guests with a functionally-oriented approach to the development of heat-resistant materials for the space industry.

All Digtal Week at NTU “KhPI”

The NTU “KhPI” held a week of webinars “Know, be able, use! All Digital Week. ” The All Digital Week event was held from March 23 to 26, 2020. in collaboration with the international project “dComFra – Digital competence framework for Ukrainian teachers and other citizens / dComFra (No. 598236-EPP-1-2018-1-LT-EPPKA2-CBHE-SP).”
In the framework of online seminars, teachers, scientists and other participants from different cities of Ukraine improved their basic digital and information skills. The organizers and speakers of the events were employees of the KhPI Scientific and Technical Library and the Department of Information Systems of NTU KhPI. According to the results of webinars, participants received certificates.
