Erasmus+ CBHE project trainings were also held at the Department of Information Technology, the Faculty of Economics and Management, Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague on April 8-11, 2019.

The introductory speech was presented by the event organizer dr. Miloš Ulman. The vice-rector prof. Michal Loštak presented the University of Life Sciences in Prague. During the trainings the participants were introduced to the strategy of digital competence development in the Czech Republic, shared practical experience in developing ICT skills. The introduced presentations focused on ICT teaching at the University of Life Sciences in Prague, i.e. innovative programming teaching methods, aspects of teaching operating systems, computer networks. The researchers of the University shared experience in developing foreign students’ digital competencies, applying the virtual learning environments such as “Moodle”, as well as Adobe Connect being applied in the teaching subjects.

The participants visited the Testing Centre, GIS and Big Data, CISCO Academy, the Labs for Human Behaviour Research and Virtual Reality in order to learn about the equipment available and the work in progress. The Labs were presented by dr. Vaclav Lohr, dr. Jan Masner, dr. Pavel Šimek, dr. Petr Benda.

During the trainings the DigiKoalice Czech National (Czech National Coalition for Digital Jobs) was introduced. Uniting government institutions, IT companies, educational institutions, non-profit organizations in the ICT sector, this coalition aims to improve citizens’ digital literacy, increases citizens’ opportunities to enter the global labour market.
